October 4th Sacramento River king salmon fishing

The Sacramento River king salmon fishing remains a challenge. We are catching some big kings every day. But the amount of fish that are returning are way down from what we typically see for October, things could get better as in lots of fish showing up at any time. But I think we are in the middle of the peak. And it’s not wide open at all. Still a great day to get on the water and good for smaller groups. We will start seeing hatchery steelhead showing up as well. So targeting both salmon and steelhead will definitely be a option soon. Thank you to all that has fished king salmon with me this season, it’s been one of the toughest season’s I’ve ever experienced. So thank you for still fishing and coming with a good attitude and supporting my job!! Remember I am booking trinity river steelhead fishing trips I’m completely sold out for November and December. But still got lots of dates in January and February. All trips are in a drift boat either spin fishing or fly fishing. I can accommodate up to 3 Fisherman.
