Sacramento River Fishing Report: October 25th 2020
Sac River Fall run Salmon season is winding down, for the next couple weeks. It is still a great time to go Salmon fishing. There are plenty fish to catch. The fish have been up here awhile now and showing age. Im am excited for the late Fall / Winter run to start showing. We will start seeing new bright silver fish soon and the biggest and baddest ones of the season. I will be fishing both Salmon and Steelhead all in the same day. These late Fall Salmon will show up fast once we get some rain. We all hope for rain this time of year. It brings a new batch of fish up the Sacramento River. I will fish hard and do everything I can to put you guys on fish.
Up in Redding CA, the Trout /Steelhead fishing is the best you will find. I say it all the time, there is never a bad time to fish up here. Its always a good trip and a good time for every one. I catch a lot of these trout all day long. its just that good!! So come on up and fish a day for Salmon and a day for Trout.
This fish was caught in Redding CA. A beautiful Wild Rainbow Trout. This is a typical lower Sac River Wild Rainbow Trout. These fish are very special to us local fishing guides on the Sacramento River.
The Trinity River Steelhead fishing is about to take off too. We will start running trips in mid November through February. The Trinity River is a world class Steelhead River. Its one of my favorite rivers to fish. It keeps you coming back year after year. Whats really exciting about the Fall /Winter Steelhead is there are so many good places to fish, and plenty of fish to catch.
