We are getting lots of rain and snow!! The Sacramento River has been holding a off colored green color. It’s a perfect color for catching lots of wild rainbow/steelhead. There is a good amount of winter run king salmon showing up in the upper section of the Sacramento River in the Redding area. If you find where these winter run salmon are starting to spawn you will likely have a good day drift eggs just below them. The Sacramento River will continue to fish good all winter, remember to get your dates booked for the spring time on the Sacramento River. This is always the best time to fish the Sacramento River For wild rainbow’s and steelhead.

TRINITY River steelhead fishing is producing some good days. The trinity River flows have been all over the place from 850 cfs down to 550 cfs the good news is it’s staying fishable unlike most River’s along the coast. That’s the beauty of the trinity River, there are plenty of fish up and down the river. So finding a drift with out any boats around has been pretty easy to do. We will continue to fish the trinity river until the end of February!
