MAY 6th, 2019 Striped Bass fishing was red hot today!

Sacramento River was really good fishing today. We started our day off trolling Yozuri Deep Diver plugs with a trick worm on the back hook. We let the back plugs out at 120 feet and my front rods at 90 feet. I pointed the boat up the Sac River along a rocky bank. A well known spot for Striped Bass. We pulled the plugs at 1.5 to 2.5 at times. We didn’t make it 30 yards before we were in to a double. We continued to do very well trolling Striped Bass plugs. They hit the plugs with lots of force. Then we switched to live bait. This is the most productive way to catch Striped Bass on the Sac River as a fishing guide. At the end of the day my guys had lots of fish to go home with. We have been catching 20 to 40 bass a day. We will have good fishing on the Sac River for Striped Bass for 2 more weeks. The fish spawn and head back to the the salt. This is the peak time for the biggest Striped Bass and the most fish around. The Wild Rainbow Trout in Redding CA has been and will continue to be really good.
